November 10, 20169 yr I bought a large amount of mahogany a while back to make small crafts out of, and I have a lot of cutoffs that I can't bring myself to discard. I would give a lot of them away if I lived close enough for them to be picked up. I live in upstate S.C., and close to Anderson and not much further to Greenville. Anyone interested can let me know. November 10, 20169 yr i read an article long, long ago, the author was touring a gun maker's shop. and they had lots of beautiful walnut stocked arms in various levels of completion. it was winter, and nice and warm inside. the tour guide asked if the author was comfy. why, yes, it's nice and warm in here. that heat is provided by some very nice walnut scraps in the boiler. at some point, it's just scraps. burn it, toss it. i'm also guilty of this. but i try to remind myself that i shouldn't let 10 cents of lumber take up a dollar's worth of storage space. all our shops are of finite size. wood grows everyday. you can get more when you need it.

Wish I was closer (1) beautiful area of the country where you live (2) help you re-cycle (3) check in on Tyler Florence restaurant. Can you trim, glue-up pieces to make an end-grain cutting board or other projects. What about jig saw intarsia projects...just some simple ideas out of my simple mind...
