Red Wood Deck Furniture

A friend of mine who has a Wood Mizer sawmill called me one time and asked if I needed some maple slab wood before he cut it up for firewood.. While out scrounging through the pile for myself, he said he had a few boards left over for some large redwood logs he had sawn for a customer, and wondered if I would make him some deck furniture.

Most were large 4/4 boards that had large knots and defects that had to be worked around.

Here is what I had enough lumber to make.

The "stool" is more like a end table,it is the same height as the rocker arms.

Herb...

do you ever do anything that isn't impressive...

Looks good and strong. Never worked with Redwood much, if I found a piece like that I sure enjoy making something with it.

Those pieces look very nice
