I have the bowl cleaned, sanded, and ready for a finish. The lady says that she wants it to be shiny! So, considering that she uses it for fruit, etc. and her cabinets are a fairly light maple, how should I proceed? Thanks in advance!

    Maybe several coats of wipe on poly or even spray lacquer. Both are food safe when dry. 

     

    The poly will probably darken the look a little more than the lacquer.
