September 30, 20169 yr My wife wanted me to make a cuckoo clock for her with a theme of sewing. I bought an electronic mechanism and started from scratch. If you look closely, you will see many things, clock hands has rulers, sewing machine table, cutting table, even her dog is there. The pendulum is a large safety pin, scissors at the crown, quilting rack, etc. The cuckoo bird itself, looked like a piece of plastic junk. I repainted it to look like it should.
September 30, 20169 yr Author Forgot to say that my wife decorated most of it, got to give credit, where it is due
September 30, 20169 yr That came out very nice! You and your wife make a good team. As Allen's saying goes "Happy wife, happy life".
September 30, 20169 yr That's really neat, Ron! Next you'll be getting into automata and animating all those clock figures!
September 30, 20169 yr Klockit has their clock contest starting right now. If you buy clock stuff from them your wife should enter their contest. I bet she would win. There's lots of theme decoration on that one clock and none of it looks out of place. Go to their site and check it out. Yep a woman , lady , female friend is really nice to have around. I got one myself somewhere around here. She does about twenty times more things in a day than you know who but I'll forgive her for that. It look to me like you guys have just started a sewing, cooking, house cleaning, grocery buying, working on the car, mowing the yard and roofing the house selection of woman inspired cuckoo clocks with that one and only female touch. So why not, they built Rome didn't they? Smallpatch Edited September 30, 20169 yr by Smallpatch
