September 27, 20169 yr My wife and I have a tradition of making keepsake ornaments every year. We started out with our kids, so when the left the nest, they'd have a collection or ornaments. Continued on with the grandkids. It's my turn this year. I remember seeing a wooden candy came of some sort, where you laminated up contrasting woods and cut out candy canes. If I remember right, they were nested so you got two canes from each section of wood. Try as I might (and I get overloaded on Pinterest), I can't find the plans now. Does anyone have plans for these? Or for that matter, other plans for ornaments for this or future years? A couple of years ago I made a bunch of Christmas stars and they came out nice. Another tradition that my dad started was a sled made out of Popsicle sticks, painted red with their name on them (and dated, of course).

September 28, 20169 yr The one Lew shows looks like what you describe and should be easy to figure out or was it something else?
September 28, 20169 yr Author Yes, Lew, that is very similar, if not the same, as what I saw a couple of years ago. It's a go on that. Thanks! Edited September 28, 20169 yr by kmealy
