September 27, 20169 yr Popular Post Sometimes we need to start measuring from somewhere other than the end of a tape measure, rule, or ruler. A lot of people start with the 1" mark. Inevitably, they'll forget and that piece that was supposed to be 37" ends up at 36". D'oh! A much better solution is to start at 10" -- easy to add and most people can look at a piece and tell if it's closer to 27" than 37"
