September 16, 20169 yr One of the reasons I keep subscribing to woodworking magazines is for the " tips". My all time favorite is to place two large magnets on the vacuum side of a slide gate. With that application one needs not tighten the slide holding bolt. The metal slide is held by the magnet in whatever position you place it. The magnetic attraction through the aluminum gate is sufficient.
