September 12, 20169 yr Good Evening All, Since I received my pace maker I have been very busy in the shop and have several pictures to show but, I forgot how to upload them into my PC and place them in a special folder. Do I upload them first to the hard drive and then make a folder or the other way around? HELP;;;;; Ralph
September 12, 20169 yr To save a step, make a folder first then upload directly to that folder. That is what I do.
September 12, 20169 yr Well Hey Ralph long time no see, You can make a folder on your desktop by right clicking on the desktop and click NEW, then Folder and give it a name. Then when you import the pictures, it will (or should ) ask where you would like to import the pics to, just select the folder you just created on the desktop. Then you can upload to the forum using the forum upload tools. I hope this helps Edited September 12, 20169 yr by Charles Nicholls
September 12, 20169 yr Ralph I found I like to load a bunch of pictures right after I click on to , Start a new topic Then As I start telling my story the pictures are there under my typing so I can add the picture that goes with my stuttering.. Some I choose not to include and they disappear and for some reason I click two or three times on the same picture cause one finger can't remember what the other finger is doing...
September 12, 20169 yr Hey Ralph! I usually make a folder on my PC for the pictures of a project- just to try and stay organized. The when posting, all you have to do is drag the photo from your computer (folder if you made one) to the area below that says "Drag files here to attach"- Then the picture(s) will be displayed below your post. There's a small + sign at the bottom left of your uploaded image. Click it and the image will be inserted into your post at the cursor location. If you decide you don't want the picture uploaded, click on the little trash can in the lower rite of your uploaded image and it will be deleted.
September 12, 20169 yr Author Well Fellows, I tried three different ways to get them up loaded but the folders were empty when I tried to find them. I am using Samsung Galaxy S7 camera and can't figure out how to put them in a folder.
September 12, 20169 yr Gimme a minute to see if I can find where they are stored. Do you connect the phone to the PC with a cable?
September 12, 20169 yr I found this, See if it helps, if not let me know and I'll find more specific instructions Way 2: Transfer Pictures from Samsung Galaxy to Computer with USB Cable 1. Connect the Galaxy phone to computer using USB cable. On the phone’s screen, a message will appear to inform you that you have connected to the computer. 2. Select “MTP” connection mode. From the Notification panel, tap “USB Connection” alert and select the option “Media device (MTP)” to use Windows Explorer to manually transfer media files between your phone and the computer. 3. Transfer Samsung Galaxy Pictures to PC. After successfully connected to computer, your Galaxy phone should automatically popup in “Computer” section, browse the “DCIM” folder to drag and drop you camera pictures to a specific folder on your computer. The USB cable would be the one you use to charge the phone Edited September 12, 20169 yr by lew
September 12, 20169 yr Author Yes, I use the same cord that I charge with less the adapter. I then Plug the USB into the opening..
September 12, 20169 yr Here's a link to a little more descriptive process http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-203776/
September 12, 20169 yr Looks like the pictures are store on the phone in the DCIM folder From the Home screen, touch Apps . Touch My Files .Note: The My Files icon may be located within the Samsung or Tools folder. Touch Device storage . Open the folder containing the pictures you want to move. The following table directs you to the folder where your media are stored: Media Saved From Storage Location Browser Download Camera DCIM > Camera Video Videos or DCIM > Camera Screen capture DCIM > Screenshots
September 13, 20169 yr My wife's Samsung Galaxy would connect up half the time, we'd have to keep plugging the usb in and removing it till the PC recognized it. We have Windows 10, sometimes devices just do what they want. I know that was absolutely no help at all, but just know, you could be doing everything right, and it still will not hook up.
September 13, 20169 yr I wish I had something more to add here, but I do not, as I do not own an S7. Now if at any poit someone has trouble uploading from an Apple 5C, then I would be able to help. I'll be watching though to see how this goes.
September 13, 20169 yr Ralph, GREAT to hear you're spending lots of time in the shop and stopping in to give updates. If anyone can figure your picture posting issue out, TPW team can. Looking forward to seeing pics.
