September 3, 20169 yr Popular Post I had an idea for turning something unusual. I sat down and drew up plans and made drawing. It involved cutting a 3 inch sq block in precise angles and drilling holes, Some were thin cuts. I then had further plans to install other thin pieces and finally turn it round. I drilled the holes and made the cuts...........HOWEVER, I dropped the darn thing and it broke into MANY, Many pieces. I just looked at that mess that took me hours of planning and walked away. Didn't cuss, didn't do a thing, not even clean it up. I just walked to the outdoor swing, where there was a cool breeze, and took a nap. Old guys can do that, you know.
September 3, 20169 yr Time spent in doing what gives you pleasure is never wasted time. I tried making a large bowl a few weeks ago. Was making good progress. It rattled off the lathe. Not salvageable. $150 of lumber wasted. Sigh. Edited September 3, 20169 yr by DAB
