From a picture as I started making the clock on the left

Featured Replies

Then after I was making the second I again thought it might need adjusting to look better.

So fast forward I now have 4 clocks of different shapes and colors and especially different sizes all from the same picture. And not thinking that was a swinging pendulum the first two clocks had the hanging bob like in the picture but then someone on Wood suggested what it actually was, well duh, I have made many clocks  but never even thought what it was.

The fourth clock I got a picture of a clock dial off the web and scroll sawed the numbers.IMG_7242.JPGIMG_7368.JPGIMG_7914.JPGIMG_7377.JPG Looks better to me

But wait.the second clock hanging on my wall has been changed before I got it in the house. I'll take a picture and show it later. She keeps telling me I am loosing my marbles.

Jess, glad to see you showed up.  I guess Wood is done tomorrow.  Your clocks are keep getting better all the time.  I like the hand made pendulums too.

building from a picture.....that sounds familiar....

Very nice, I love the clocks, all of them!!

Not only beyond my capabilities, but beyond my thinking.  Fantastic work.

Now those are some pretty fancy time pieces!  I've always loved clocks, but never attempted one.  You've inspired me . . .

You are a talented guy and those are just plain COOL

Really into the carving end of woodworking I see. Combining a few different elements of woodworking and your imagination is your only limit. Very nicely done. Can we put them in the Art Deco theme??? I always love any kind of clocks and these are beauties. Thanks for showing.

Thanks FIGatorwood for bringing something from August back up to comment on. This year I decided if someone else could carve things then so could I.  I also realized mistakes are not as bad as the maker thinks. Then when you go in another room it is forgotten about. Not exactly but it helps if you can't see them.

I don't know if you can tell but this caving I have started learning with has got to be the easiest of all types. I will explain if anyone is interested in doing some. The scrollsaw is what makes it easy. Let me know!
