August 28, 201610 yr comment_70353 I am one of the many soon to be former members of Wood forum that needs a new home. I was L_DAV over there. Did not do a lot of posting but did do a lot of reading and learning. I like making any kind of sawdust, chips, or shavings. When the blade hits the wood everything starts feeling as it should. My main woodworking interest is Scroll Sawing. Scrollers never make misteaks, they just make modifications to the pattern they are cutting. Too many modifications and we have a piece of designer fire wood. In Texas, if you do two or more transactions you are considered a business and owe sales tax. I have my own wood working business called See What I Saw. My work slogan is - Using wood rescued from the fire pit. My story told with a log. Like a woodworker takes a piece of wood others say is only good for the fire bit, removes some flaws, leaves some flaws, sands saws, and smooths the wood to highlight the finished piece, the Master Carpenter is working on me. Larry Larry, you're going to see alot of familiar faces here. When John Morris began The Patriot Woodworker about 6 years ago, the founding members were Wood regulars. If you want an interesting look at our history, go to the members tab and sort the members by "Date Joined" and go to the last page. Some interesting names from the past there. Great to have you with us. Report
