August 26, 20169 yr I got nordfab flanges meant for flex hose. I got the hose. The don't want to work and play well together Any ideas for mounting tough flex hose on the flanges?

August 26, 20169 yr spray silicone lube makes hose slippery as snot. Might want to take it outside to do it. Silicone can cause problems with finish. I used a big pair of slip joint pliers hooked on the wire to help persuade it on.
August 26, 20169 yr Author Figured it out. Had to make an Expander. Then add heat and acting quickly after getting the expander out they slip on easily.
August 27, 20169 yr Author The expander ( just a hunk of 1&/3/4" maple laminate I had laying around plus some all-thread nuts and washers): Then I use two wrenches to work the nuts apart expanding the material Eventually after getting about an inch between the nuts and applying heat I can get this:
