A few years ago I got an idea for a clock.  A large clock that would hang in a large area, like our open space above the fireplace. I wanted to have it display forms made of exotic, colorful wood. I presented the idea to my wife and she loved it, except she wanted it to chime. I wanted this clock to have flow and form. This what I came up with and installed an electric movement with chime. It is 36 inches in dia

Very Nice!

that is past awesome Ron...

NOTE to self...

ask for a bigger like button or more of them...

and a KUDOS button too...

Nice design Ron.  Even without the clock works it would make a nice wall hanging piece of art.

Very creative and it came out beautifully!

I wanted to make hands that fit the clock. Forms and colors that looked like pieces of wood too. Couldn't come up with any thing. The weight of the hands would increase and either run the battery down or overburden the motor.

Good job on this design. How thick are the separate pieces

All were quarter inch. This made it thick, but also allowed room for the movement

You could paint the hands to make them look like wood.... Knots and all...
