Thanks stick: I make mantle and wall clocks and have been looking to try something different and I just found it. Keep up the good work.

Preston don't forget to take pictures along the way.  I can show what I did way easier than try to find the right words to explain myself.

 

I think it would be good for a person to add a small picture of what he or she has built below each post or reply to give the lookers a feel of where that person is in his level of skill.

 

Matter of fact it aught to be a requirement to do that very thing.. like this picture of one of my steps in that last clock

That is ash wood. The last clock was maple but building both had the same procedure.
