Heard about this site from other members of the Wood Community Forums, which are going the way of the dodo at the end of the month.  I learned a lot there and hope to continue it here.

John, like I've stated in some of the earlier welcome topics, I am saddened to see WOOD go. I was over there years ago and I loved it. Even since I made my way here I checked in frequently and lurked and it's been a constant and strong presence in the online woodworking community world.

That being said, we are happy to see the new folks coming aboard, it's a wonderful by product of a negative situation, and we are happy you all decided to make TPW home.
