July 4, 201610 yr Hey guys, I found a huge stash of Manzanita Burls for sale. They're not cheap but there's some good looking pieces. Any interest, let me know.
July 4, 201610 yr Haven't played with Manzanita in years Gene! I think the last time I worked with the stuff was at 6th grade camp, we had a project sanding and shining a piece of Manzanita, we then took it home to our parents. I love the character of the stuff. Now, what does a burl look like? Do you have any images?
August 3, 20169 yr Absolutely gorgeous Gene. It is the quintessential western wood species, so much history and western folklore surrounds the Mazanita. The stuff grows like weeds in my neck of the country!

August 3, 20169 yr Author No, John. They were made by a guy over on Lumberjocks. When time permits, I'm going to get some and make some oval inlays for boxes, though.
