Oh my what did I do

Featured Replies

My wife has a dog that sleeps with her. The dog is getting old and can no longer jump up on the bed. So she asked me to make a 3 step stair for the dog to use.

Since the weather is nasty, showing, raining, cloudy, I said I would .I started and constructed the two sides and had paneling on each side. Now add the steps and it is done. But wait, something isn't right!!  I looked again and took a break and had a coffee. In my haste to get this out of my garage, I had made 2 left sides.

Oops, but um how is it that one of the left sides, can't be used as a right side?

I feel your pain Ron.  A couple of years ago I made a cabinet for trash with a raised panel front door that tipped out.  Somehow, I screwed and glued the shelf for the trash can to the outside of the door.

Now make to right sides and put one on each side of the bed!

Mistakes??? I could write a book. Cutting mortises on the wrong face, Cutting a ply wood panel for matching doors, only the grain ran sideways. not a bad mistake....if I hadn't glued it in the frame.
