April 25, 201610 yr Good Monday Morning folks! How was your weekend, what did you do in your shops, and what have you planned for the week ahead! I am completely sorry for keeping this Monday morning greeting short, but I started late today, and I am late, and I need to move on out! Hi ho hi ho, it's off to work we go!
April 25, 201610 yr My weekend was devoted to outdoor plumbing issues and making our mowers, weed eaters and hedge trimmers ready for service. Plus, I did a bit of weed mowing. As I went back and forth in and out of the shop for various mechanic type tools, I did look at my chairs.
April 25, 201610 yr No shop time but made a trip to Nashville to pick up spreading knives for my cheese boards. Did a little picking and found a nice 1883 Lufkin Headed Lumber Rule. More on it in the hand tool forum. still trying to get over the crud so not sure when I'll get to spend any time in the shop. I did stop at an indoor shooting range and got in a little practice with my handguns. Yesterday afternoon I broke them all down and cleaned and lubricated them so that are ready to go again.
April 25, 201610 yr Hopefully, this week, I'll complete another quilt rack for show stock this week. As it stands now, the week will be pretty mundane but all of that can quickly change.
April 25, 201610 yr A little painting for me. Since we had new siding and gutters put on the house, the porch furniture and some of the door trim needs to be repainted to match the new colors.

Oh that reminds me: some of the grandkids were over this weekend and when they came out to the shop they said it smelled so good. I asked what it smell like and they said, "It smells like woodworking." IS THAT COOL OR WHAT?
April 26, 201610 yr That is cool, Todd. Eau de parfum of pine. A buddy of mine used to comment that if a woman put a dab of Watco behind her ears, he'd follow her anywhere.
