Today was a nice day to get to spend a good bit of time in the shop. I'm hoping to get caught up on a few old projects that just got way behind and ahead on a few others.

Today at I got the panel ready, glued and clamped for the Cedar Chest. I got a Cherry panel cut, glued and clamped that will be the bottom of a table to cabinet for a marble  chess board and I got a bunch of cutoff pieces ripped into pieces for edge grain cutting boards.

I am also building two boxes for a model railroad display. I got the pieces all cut and the guy is coming by this evening to show me how he needs them to fit together with his others.

So so it has been a nice day and now I get to rest instead of just getting to the shop and starting.

I didn't even get as much shop time as you did John, what's up with that lol?

What little time I did get, I made good use of though. I put yet another coat of poly on this bottle stopper piece, and plan on at least 3 more coats before I'm done.
