New Titebond Glue

Featured Replies

sounds like a segmented turner's answer to prayers.  I wonder how long it holds up? That's one of the real tests.  Endurance.  Right now aliphatic glues are good  for 30 years and counting.  I've got  a butcher block coffee table I made  almost 40 years ago that's still going strong.

I like what it shows on the video. I see HD has it for less than $5. I may give it a try on my turning projects.

I am a big fan of modern adhesives. It is interesting to see what the manufacturers keep coming up with to increase the performance of their products.

Here's an update from Woodworker's Journal-

I looked at that product last time I was in my cabinet supplier. I decided I better finish using the other Titebond products I was using. Melamine, No-Run No-Drip, and Extended Open Time Titebond. In addition to me trying those, DAP products also sent me 2 - 4oz. bottles of their new CA glue RapidFuse.

I am now thinking I might have more than a fascination, but rather an addiction to adhesives...

A friend of mine uses Titebond Translucent. He used to work at a stair and trim manufacturer. He likes it because it has a very short open time. He also told me it bonds wood to Corian and the wood will break before the bond.

I have had good luck with StarBond CA glues.

That is impressive it bonds to Corian.
