January 25, 201610 yr comment_64746 Made this box from clear pine. The box is approx 3 inches wide x 5 inches long and 2 inches deep. The box opens like a flip top and the hinge points are 1/8 inch dowel rod. The horse was a created from a public domain image from 1/4 african mahogany scrap that I had in the shop. The box was sealed with tung oil and then top coated with satin lacquer. DW Report

Lew I rounded the top of the back of the outside of the inner box part a bit to relieve it so that when the lid opened it did not bind. It took a couple of tries before I had it correct and it opened smoothly. Hope that helps Lew. DW Report
