January 25, 201610 yr Good Monday Morning folks! This past weekend was pretty uneventful in the ol shop, as we were involved in a few outside activities and we were prepping our home for our daughters 15th birthday party, and then hosted that party all day Saturday, then clean up and take down Sunday. It was fun. I did however get out to the shop during the party and just sat down and grabbed a piece of mind from all the teenage girl chatter and sat at my cut off bench and surfed the net here on my shop old pc. Sometimes just getting in the shop, and sitting down, and breathing deep, is very relaxing, without doing work. The smell of the sawdust, the tools around me, and I'll pick up a magazine and read or read a good research book for woodworking. So my weekend was zip in the production category, as many weekends have been in the past lately. But, what have yall got planned for the upcoming week? What's on the honey-do-list, home improvements? or do you have anything fun going on in the ol shop? or, paid work by clients? Here is a wonderful old image for yall to gander at to see if you can come up with its purpose as related to woodworking. Go ahead, take your best shot, what is it!
January 25, 201610 yr Yah the thing flying out in the breeze acts like a spring locking the height of the dog in the slot /hole in the bench. Looks to me like a fair use for worn out band saw blades
