Hello and thank you.

My name is Dave, my family and I have moved from owr house in town to my grandparents farm and 12 acers.

I went from having a small one car garage as a do all shop to now having a barn that my grandpa set up for his planer buisnes and other out buildings.

Grandpa wasnt much into hand tools but he did keep a few laying around.

I have always loved the idea of using hand tools rather than power tools for many reasons, and now that I have the space, Im ready to broaden my horizons.

Thank you for the ability to be a part of this comunity.

          dave

You must be in "Seventh Heaven" with all that room!!  Looking forward to seeing some of your projects.

I guess it's a little too cold for woodworking in the barn, right now.  I have a friend, who was born in Wisconsin, and he used to say- "summer in Wisconsin is the three weeks of bad skiing".

Its been a very mild winter so far

Welcome to our community Dave! It's great to have ya and I'd like to congratulate you on your big move into hand tooling. What an exciting adventure. By the way, Scout80, what is the significance of that handle? Thanks for sharing Dave and welcome again!

that would be my grandparents first new vehicle.  I bought it from him about 12 years ago...and now shes back  to her home.

   Life is good.

Got it! Nice Scout, love those old wagons. Thanks for sharing Dave. By the way, nice snow too! So is that what you call a mild winter? Holy cow!

By the way, my friends and I in high-school used to load our boards and surf the west coast and Mexico in an old Travelall, not sure if that was an International brand or not, I just remember the name Travelall, and we have had a ton of room, and a ton of fun in that ol wagon. That was in the 80's, and the rig I believe was vintage 70's. Very powerful too.

Thanks for sharing Dave.

Welcome aboard Dave! Yea I miss those days of snow etc, we get them here in Arkansas once in a while but not as much. I was in the Denver area for many years until moving here in '03.

I have to say I like that old scout too, we had a green one for a few years, it was a great truck.

After we got rid of the scout, we got an IH pickup that was a great truck too. I really wish I had all the old trucks my parents had at one point LOL

Welcome Dave!

Funny thing a friend and I were just talking about those old IH Scouts. An army buddy of mine had one back in the 80's and we ran around in it on the weekends.

As I can remember, it had a separate shifter for the front and rear axles for 4wd operation?

Welcome, Scout.

Wanted to buy a Scout in the 60s. Wife said no. So no Scout and that wife is gone.

Welcome aboard! I think you will like it here - great bunch of guys here and top notch software.
