December 5, 201510 yr I bought this clock at a garage sale for all of $2,00, It is about 18" high and made of brass, darn thing weighs about 5lb. It had a complex electric mechanism. The problem was that the clock was so heavy the people never replaced the battery and it had eroded away much of the mechanism. The pendulum was also missing. I replace the mechanism with a chiming electric and the new pendulum would not work. So I bought an anniversary clock revolving pendulum and put a mirror behind it. I made the base of this to hold the batteries out of Walnut. It was extremely hard to hang because the hole for the nail was small and the clock is so darn heavy. I replaced this problem with a larger and easy to use hanger. We are really enjoying this one.
