November 17, 201510 yr comment_63395 Hi peopleI have a Delta table saw 10". The previous owners threw the motor because it was not working. Now I can not select the suitable motor. Please, who can help me with the technical features. What motor is more reliable? Report
November 17, 201510 yr comment_63398 chrjk,Lew is correct in asking for a model number for the saw.If it is a Uni-Saw they require a proprietary motor that has special mounting brackets welded to the motor. Report
November 18, 201510 yr Author comment_63407 sorry guys, I forgot to add the model. Here it is DWE7480Maybe I will be buying a pre-owned motor, but first of all i would like to choose a good model of the motor. The new motors are expensive for me. Who knows, motor with these characteristics can be mounted in my table saw https://www.mrosupply.com/motors/ac-motors/single-phase-motors/26719_cl3503_baldor/ ? Report
November 18, 201510 yr comment_63410 Its a shame the motor was pitched. I'd guess that the motor probably had a bad capacitor. Report
November 18, 201510 yr comment_63415 chrjk,The DWE7480 is not a Delta product, it is a Dewalt Compact Job Site Saw.Here is a link to the manual, and exploded parts diagram.http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail?isId=true&productNumber=DWE7480&selectedType=25865#Unfortunately it uses a proprietary motor that cannot be replaced with a standard motor. November 21, 201510 yr comment_63458 It's funny. Dewalt also has a saw with that same number http://www.dewalt.com/tools/machinery-portable-table-saws-dwe7480.aspx If it's that frame that looks like this I'd consider getting any farm duty or compressor rated ( high starting torque) motor on the Flea bay and breaking out the welder to get those goofy fins on. Just weld something to the existing base. A local welder might charge all of $30 if you were able to tell him where to weld the fins. Report
November 21, 201510 yr comment_63461 Cliff, What you have pictured is a Delta Uni-Saw motor. The motor for the DeWalt DWE7480 looks like this. It is built into the saw, and is a direct drive to the blade arbor. Report
