New Woodworking Books

Featured Replies

I am so excited, I just bought two woodworking books and I can't wait to get home, curl up with them, and read. It's not often I get anything for myself, no pity here, just stating a fact, it's mainly because I just don't typically have the time to slow down and look for something I want. My oldest daughter has been taking SAT college exam classes in a town nearby at a Holiday Inn convention room, so every weekend I drive her to the class, and wait for her in the parking lot, the classes last bout 3 to 4 hours, 6 weekends, both Saturday and Sunday, this is the 4th weekend, and today I decided what the heck, I'm going to leave the parking lot today and drop on by the Barnes and Noble and see what I can find, and low and behold I have two brand new spanking books that look pretty cool. They are going to be great resources for our new wiki as well. But mainly, I just want to learn more about hand tools. I just took this image a few minutes ago, I am still waiting for daughter to get out, I am in my car, laptop, and a bottle of water, and a Milky Way, and two great books!

The book on the left is about 180 pages and the on the left is about 140 pages, yipeeee!

No better way to pass the time than with a good book.  Both of them look interesting.   Enjoy!

And just think, the time will fly by now and when she gets out you'll have to tell her "just a min while I finish this page."

It really made the hours fly by Ernie, I love these books so far. They are more reference than anything, great resource books, thanks Ernie!

Eh Harry, she got in the car and I excitedly showed her my new books, and she started talking about how nice the professor was in her class,

John,

Looks like some good reading. ;)

It's great reading Larry, more reference than anything but the book on the left has some wonderful hand tool illustrations, and the layout and explanation of the tools use is pretty nice.

Still working on getting through them John, but as you know these kind of books you never really finish, you just keep coming back to them over and over, thanks!
