Shop revamp

Featured Replies

I mentioned that I was reorganizing my shop and Lew asked me to send a picture. First you should know I only have half of a garage and I must consolidate tools and keep the most used in the handiest place. I just added new doors to my cabinet. Each has space for storage inside and has provided me with a lot of space and put handy the tools I use most. Next is my bench and it is on wheels and easily rolls out for easy access. I don't do that much because I have a heavy duty Workmate that I have adapted a large top on. I can fold it away, but it stays in place 99% of the time

Wow, Ron, you really have things organized!  Looks like you've pretty much used up all of the wall space.

I couldn't find anything in there.  It is way too neat.;)

Ron,

I can't find anything even if it's right in front of me.

Now where did I put that keyboard?

My father was forever forgetting where things were. He'd cuss and sit down. Pretty soon it  would either be remembered or forgotten forever.:D  Now..............................................I am my father:wub:

Ron,

I've got you beat! :P

I can be looking for something only to realize that I've got it in my hand.

you too!

My wife was looking around one day for something,

I asked her "What are you looking for?"

She replied "My glasses".

I replied by pointing at my nose.

Holy moly  I wish I could organize like that.

My Father, on the other hand, was organization  and neatness personified.  The drawers in his lab bench were so neat, he could reach his hand into the drawer and find exactly the tool he wanted without looking down to locate it   Invisually.  In my case I did not follow him in that respect  I am disorganied.

I think organization is a gene you either have or not....looks like you have it. I, on the other hand, do not. Every time I try to reorganize I have to go buy a bunch of stuff I can't find anymore. Nice job, tho'.

Like wise Fred, I have about 26 straight slot screw drivers, lose em and buy em!

Ron that is very neat. I wish I could keep mine straight when I do get it clean. But next time I am in there it becomes a national disaster and needs government assistance.

I like organization... My problem I also like our local junkyard.

Stuff comes in faster than I can find a place to put it....
