I'll try to see what I can find, it looks kind of familiar.

WOW - great find

I believe Thomas Carey was the predecessor to WW Carey

John,

This machine looks like a variation of a "Jewel" planer by American Saw Mill Machinery Co. Which later became American Woodworking Machinery Co.

The height adjustment looks like the one from the "Pony" planer.

John,

I see it was identified as a C. B. Rogers No. 10 Planer.

Yours must be a bit newer than the 1888 model though.

C. B. Rogers was another of the 11 companies that merged to form American Saw Mill Machinery Co. in 1897.

Nice one John! Now what? Restoration or use as is? It's absolutely beautiful, I love the lettering.

I can't help with the question, but that is one cool piece of machinery!

a beauty indeed, a much older jointer and planer are on my short list, something from that era to replace my 1940's beaver jointer and parks planer
