July 2, 201511 yr Over the many years I have enjoyed woodworking and have had some great experiences with some great friends and family. I have gotten some small item from the families after these guys died. I have also some family tools that I have saved. I have a small ballpean hammer that my dad made out of brass and he whittled the handle. I have Ray's board, Ralph's oil can, and I just received a small Stanley block plane from the family of my 92 year old friend and fellow woodworker who recently died. I have my my father-in-laws square and so on. I made the clock in the center and have some pictures on it too Call me sentimental
July 2, 201511 yr Wow Ron, that is completely cool, that says it all right there. Folk art, at its finest that represents a man life of friends and more. You could say this is your totem pole. I love it, makes me want to start one now.
July 2, 201511 yr Those "hand me downs" are precious treasures. I'm so glad they are displayed instead of tucked away in a dusty shop drawer.
