Sorry, Folks, I got nothin'.

Between relatives, substituting, preparing for a trip to my Navy reunion and the humidor project, I haven't had anytime to go near the lathe.

Safe Turning.

Lew, we completely understand, if you can entertain us with some information about that Navy reunion though, that'd be good enough!

Where is it going to be held, and what year is the reunion? Do you still see many of the folks you served with at these? Thanks for checking in Lew.

John,

Years ago, some of the guys from VA-65 started getting together in Knightstown, IN. We were all from the original group that were there when VA-65 transitioned from A-1 Skyraider to the A-6 Intruder and we were deployed to Vietnam on the USS Constellation (CVA-64) in 1966. A few of the guys were in long enough to have been transferred to the USS Forrestal (CVA-59) and lived through the horrific fire that killed so many personnel. We get together, cook, eat, drink (a little) and share memories of the time together as well as what we have been up to since the last time we saw each other and sadly we honor those members who have passed since the last time we were together- which is happening all to often.

I want my money back~!!!

Most of us on here only have a few brain cells left so we understand. This is why we come together and share what few things we can, if not we would only be able to turn big boards into small ones and not get much else accomplished.

Sometimes John if I can get a big down to a smaller one, that's a major accomplishment in my shop these days!
