knots: how to cover 'em

Featured Replies

Keep  a can or two around when dealing with  pine knots.

Nothing else works so well; not shellac not Killz  not  waving a dead cat (though that never hurts).

Thanks, Cliff - I'll keep that in mind when I want to cover the knots - most of the time, I use the knots to enhance the project.

Painting knots can be a bear for sure! They bleed through in the weirdest colors sometimes. Thanks for the tip Cliff!
