March 31, 201511 yr I am from Ohio and there are some fine hardwoods growing there and some states close by. However, the supply is dwindling fast. I was wondering where they get all the Pine they sell. It must be huge. I'm sure it is a controlled planting and growth cycle to insure future supply and market. Where are they getting the Oak, Walnut and other woods that we like to work with?
March 31, 201511 yr I imagine a lot of the wood comes from Canada. Here in Pennsylvania, there are lots of species but I don't think there's a lot of Big Business logging.
April 1, 201511 yr Most Pine, fir and plywood/chipboard come from canada. also paper. Last time I went fishing there was trucks hauling pulp wood to the mills from beside the roads. Northern Oregon, Washington have alot of wood too.
