Guinness Empty Chair

Featured Replies

Another one from my brother.

This one was a toughy for me because Judy and I added too many empty chairs in our lives last year.  That being said, a most beautiful commercial to share with all our brothers.

Fred, what a wonderful video, I wish more establishments would do something like this. We take for granted our security and peace in our land, going about our every day lives without even thinking of the troops who protect our land every day all day.

We cannot forget for a minute that if it weren't for our troops doing what they do, our shores would be over run quicker then you could hug your loved ones goodbye. If all the sudden our military was dissolved, the end of our world as we know it would happen.

I credit our armed forces directly with our security that we cherish, if more folks would hold that attitude in their heads daily, then scenes like this in your video Fred would take place in real life.

That being said, we have an empty chair at all our holiday and special occasion events always. We started this tradition when our kids were tiny, perhaps in 2003, so hopefully they'll pass the tradition along in there own families. But above all, hopefully some day in the future, empty chairs will not be needed, but that is not the world we live in, never has, never will. As long as there are humans, there will be war.

Courtland - what a wonderful family tradition - honestly, I hadn't even thought about it when my kids, in the Army, were in harms way - we always asked God to protect them though.

I hope other TPWers will watch this commercial and comment
