February 1, 201511 yr Just found out about these. I think they will work out as a great "up sale" for my scrolled clocks. Info from Clockit as follows: "Our AA and C Battery to Electric Converters will easily turn a battery-operated clock movement into an electric movement. Just take out the battery and insert one of the converters! The conversion is achieved by BACK-UP's patent pending external AC-DC power supply, which will simultaneously operate the clock movement and trickle charge its internal Ni-Cad battery. BACK-UP ensures that the clock movement will continue to function in the event of a power failure; essentially making it an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) for the movement. 1-year warranty. " Whatcha think folks? I'll bet scrollers are going to love it. http://www.klockit.com/products/sku-batteryconverter.html
February 1, 201511 yr Read that e mail from Steve Good too. Thought it was quite an interesting idea. Looks like it could be easily used for single cell battery lights and such.
February 1, 201511 yr Hmmmm, I am perfoozed. This is so that one can plug a battery powered clock in? Isn't the thing about battery powered clocks that one can place them independent of any consideration for power outlets & get rid of the cords?? They run like more than a year on just one of the little batteries as it is. Yup, I am perfoozed.
