was using a plane that is older than my grandfather to flatten this top

hmmm was trying to attach a picture but obviously it didn't work

its an old Bailey tool company (not a Stanley) plane that I purchased a few years ago and love to use because its old but also hate to use because its old and rare.

John, I can't post pictures either. 

Check out some of Steve Newman's posts. His planes are all older than dirt and he uses them regularly. 

When you are positing there is an option in the lower right that says, "More Reply Options". Click on that and it will give you additional options including attaching pictures.

 

After clicking it you will see "Attach Files" at the bottom. Click on the Browse and it will take you to your picture. Open the picture and then below the Browse it says attach this file, click that.

 

It will then attach the file but you have to click on the right "Add to post" and then the picture will be in your post.

it is my favorite plane but I'm having a difficult time finding much info on it. Near as I can tell its a Sheldon Bailey from the late 1800's
