January 6, 201511 yr When we moved to Colorado 6 years ago, I hurriedly put together a work shop to get some place to work. I had a lot to do around the house and setting up a nice shop was not a priority. You must also understand that I only have half of a garage to do this. I got a bunch of free stuff off of Craigs list and slapped it all together. It also had to include storage for things other that woodworking. Just like your garage. Slowly I have acquired some tools, wood and a nice bench. None of which are stored or placed very smartly. So my new year project started today. Going back to the bare walls and redoing it all with a plan. I am enjoying tossing things my wife don't know about and planning things from the wall out. I'll post some pictures when there is anything worth looking at.
January 6, 201511 yr That is something a lot of people need to do, myself included. Looking forward to the pix and seeing what you come up with.
January 6, 201511 yr I am enjoying tossing things my wife don't know about Woa, baby....looking for some trouble, eh? Anyway, I planned mine form the getgo, and have been trying to fix it since...I'm still redoing things after 5 years. But then, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Wish you the best with your efforts. Still think you're taking a chance with that "tossing things", that will come back to haunt you.
January 6, 201511 yr Ron I stated the same thing about a week ago. Almost done, just need to connect three more tools to the DC and a bit of alignment and I'm ready to go. I went to Grizzly.com and clicked on their Shop Planner. It used most of there tools but you are really just looking for size and it gave me a chance to see what I thought I wanted to do before I moved them. Best of luck. I hope to get my DC all connected tonight.
