January 1, 201511 yr Cliff, that turned out great, we were looking at the factory made risers for our side by side a couple years ago when we bought em, they wanted upwards of 400 bucks for the platform. I think you did great, and you got a waaaay better product. It's very stylish, and the DT's look great.
January 2, 201511 yr Author thanks guys. I'm still wondering how to lift the washer 24" to get it on. So far I've considered 1) paying a couple of local brutes to just lift it. 2) building a ramp and using a come along 3) fairy dust 4) wishful thinking (exactly like hope and change)
January 3, 201511 yr a few 4x4s and 2x4s will do it. tip it right, put them under, then tip the other way and prop up that side. Just make sure you have enough 3 ft long pieces and crib it while you are going up, (1st set both point north to south, 2nd set sits on top of them pointing east and west. 3rd set both point north to south etc. etc. etc.)
