November 5, 201411 yr That time of year, time to make a few of these "Critters". My old bandsaw no longer does anything but support tool trays, I do happen to have a Craftsman 13", tilting table, cast iron base, pin style blade Scrollsaw. Picked it up this past Yard Sale Season for.....$10. Got out the biggest, roughest blade in the package, and went to work on a few shapes. After awhile, reindeer started to appear. A customer said she didn't want any stained, so, a scrap of Black Walnut for a couple antler blanks. Beltsanders to smooth things up, and flatten the bottoms. Router is clamped upside down to the bench top. To round the edges over. So, after a morning of sawing and shapingThere is now the two plain Rudolphs she wanted, @ $8 each. For some reason, whenever I place two of these together for a day or so, more of the critters appear.....
