​Several years ago I got an idea for an unusual wall clock using several kinds of woods. It is nearly 36 inches in dia and hangs above our fire place in a large room. My wife wanted to to chime so it does.

 

The woods include Yellow Hart, Paduak,  Purple Hart, and some I don't remember now.

    The pieces came in small bundles of 3 pieces 3ft by 10" BY 1/4 inch and were sanded down to a fine surface.
