I really like the new look and functionality of the The patriot Woodworker. The response to problems is great and the new look is a definite plus

I was once a member of Wood Magazine forum and enjoyed it for the most part. However, who ever did their web site, did a less than average job. This resulted in slow updates or none at all. The final straw was when they did a site make over and messed things up bad. They had a lot of excuses and were very slow to correct problems. The final straw was when they did not include the member galleries. Many had 20 or more entries and all had to start from zero. I was one of them and I just quit. If I had to start again, it would be with a better Forum using a better site. This site fit the need and also supports our guys too.

So now one of the things our new made over site is the same way. Resubmit all old gallery yourself, no auto transfers of old gallery entries. To be fair, there may have been a way to do it, but being the computer dud that I am, I must of missed it. So I figure that being all new, I would submit some of my projects. The reasoning is that the site won't be changing much and submissions will last.

If it does change, I  sure hope you find a way to move those files so no re-submission is needed. My compliments to the site designer.

Ron, this software is the best. I completely agree. It is a huge step up from the last place we called home, and I am happy you are happy.

About the images, I am sad to say they were not able to migrate over as our forum content and members were migrated. We lost much in this move, but I did perform a complete back up of our old site, and I have every image that was submitted, now how to organize it is another challenge. At this point, I may be able to put up a sub category in the gallery and call it "Archived Images" and I could leave the images open to all to modify and claim as their own and bring over into their respective galleries. It's just a thought, but believe me if I could have converted the images from our old home to our new home, I would have! I am so happy your settling in here sir.

If it does change, I  sure hope you find a way to move those files so no re-submission is needed. My compliments to the site designer.

By the way Ron, we are not going anywhere, for a very looong time if at all. The software is tops, and so is the support. Count on this being home.

Thanks Lew. I enjoy creating and making unusual things. I can post 50 more that I have made over the years and may do that one at a time :)

Ron, I'm looking forward to

Ron, I'm looking forward to it! I'm sure many more are, too.
