August 13, 201015 yr Well I am adding to the blog on the Cedar Chest. I may not be doing this correctly, but I am adding comments for each new section. Check it out when you can.
August 14, 201015 yr John, one of the surprises I had when I moved to Colorado was that there was so much Cedar. Cedar fences, Cedar is a cheaper wood here and used a great deal. I was surprised to see aromatic cedar in 2 bys and 4 bys for deck construction. That would be nice, have a BBQ and smell that wood..............kind of make you want to build something.
August 14, 201015 yr Hey Ron, if you get desperate, you could pull the planks off the deck and use them for barbecuing right??? :dream: Ron Altier said:John, one of the surprises I had when I moved to Colorado was that there was so much Cedar. August 14, 201015 yr Hey John, I read your blog and left a post. About the blog, it is entirely up to you, but for each installment to your blog, you might want to add a new blog, so you have a series of blog entries. That way when you add content, and comments are made, then we will know which part of the blog the comments were directed too. But as I said, it is entirely up to you sir.
August 18, 201015 yr Author Wow, where have I been. I have completely missed part of these post. I must have been in a daze lately. Ron, I had a guy call me this week with several hundred feet of dried cedar he was wanting to see for $1/bf. I have so much of it in the shop now I don't know where I would put anymore. Working on the chest and sanding, my clothes have a strong cedar smell when I go in the house. Now with a cedar deck and smelling that when ever I was out on the deck, that might make we want to go the shop even more. I have several full 3x3's and a few 2 bys to work with now.
August 18, 201015 yr Author I guess I should have done it that way. I was trying to make it a running blog of the chest. When I make the next entry I will start a new section. Thanks John The American Woodworker said:Hey John, I read your blog and left a post.About the blog, it is entirely up to you, but for each installment to your blog, you might want to add a new blog, so you have a series of blog entries.
