Hi, I'm gearing up to build a great woodworkers workbench, and wanted to make it out of some good recycled hardwood.  I've seen many postings about the virtues of this practice - but I really could use some specific advice on how to access them?

Michael, I have a source for recycled hardwood that I have yet to check out myself, he is a local guy. I think he is relatively close to you, he lives in Glendale and he owns his sawmill and mill reclaimed urban lumber. I think this is just what your looking for. You have barked up a tree that I am very interested in myself. I am a huge supporter of urban reclaimed lumber. Taking a tree that was destined for the mulch pile and making some nice slabs of wood from them.

I have spoken with him over the phone, he seems like a really nice down to earth fellow, and he has some nice wood in stock right now. Let me know if you need anything else. And let us all know if this fellow has what your looking for.
