August 25, 201015 yr       Good Morning Friends,Though you miter saw may come from the factory with the different angles indicated on the gauge say that the saw is on a true 90º does not mean that it is truly correct. So in order to assure that it is set at 90º, pull the saw down and lock it in the bottom position. Then using your framing square place the blade of the square against the saw fence and slide the tongue up to the blade and make sure the tongue is against the blade between teeth and if you see a gap between the tongue and the blade it is not a true 90º.So in order to correct this you have two screws on the gauge that you can loosen and slide the gauge till there is no gap between the square and blade, the retighten the screws and you miter saw will be accurate. Respectfully, Ralph Jones
