August 25, 201015 yr Good Evening Friends, Here is a tip you might find useful in you day in the shop. Say you have your dado blades in the saw and wish them to be cutting 1/4" deep into the wood. Just take your combination square and adjust it so only 1/4" is showing on the 90º side. Then simply place the square base over the blades on the center of the arbor and raise the blade till the bubble in the level is between the lines and you will have set your depth. However, use a scrap piece of wood and your miter gauge to assure it is exactly 1/4" high. Most times it will be dead on. Respectfully, Ralph
