SOME TIMES I GET SO INVOLVED;

Featured Replies

Some times I get so involved that I forget to look at the clock on the wall and like yesterday I got whistle bit for it was 12:45 before I realized that I had missed lunch. However I still went in and made a sandwich and answered a few emails then right back out to the shop till almost 5 oclock when I finally got the Wood Master set to the right depth for the base trim I am making after gang ripping a few hours and then resetting the machine. Now that it is set I think I will leave it on the setting I have till I have to change the profile for another design.
I am very pleased that I have the Wood Master for it affords me another avenue for making a few bucks and now I have the Wood Master 38" drum sander so I can sand face frames for folks as well as doors or any other wide surface. One thing I like about it is that I have a digital read out in inches and decimal fractions of an inch. So it looks like I might just tape the conversions from decimal to fractions to make it quicker to set the table under the drum. I can hardly wait till I have a wide glue up to sand and with the reverse handle I can stop the belt and flip the handle to reverse and bring it back to me with out having to run around the machine to catch the object.

If at any time you have a question about wood working, don't hesitate to ask. I might not know all of the answers off hand but, I will look them up.

Ralph, sounds like a hockey sticks of a machine, I am happy for you. It truly is nice to have something new in the shop isn't it? No matter how old and mature we as men get, when it comes time to a new tool, we revert back to our times as kids on Christmas morning. And speaking of Christmas, you are blessed Ralph, fine home, fine family, fine friends, and fine surprises by freight!

Watch out on those missed meals, they can turn around and bite you in the ass!

Thanks John,

I am like a kid in the candy shop for everything looks so good and you are right I am blessed with a loving family breaks from stores I deal with for they all give me an automatic 10% discount and the work is piling up for I have 4 clients waiting to come into getting something done for them.

I never thought I would see the day that I would have a waiting list of folks wanting something done.

The main this is that I believe in GOD and with him all things are possible.

Amen Brother, Amen!

Ralph, sound like you are getting the hang of this new machine. Be careful and don't get so caught up to be missing meals. Man that is one thing I don't miss many of although I probably should. Actually I can get caught up myself and let time get away while in the shop. It is me and the radio on the Christian channel and we just have us a big time making sawdust.I

Glad you have something to open up a new avenue of adding to the kitty and keeping you busy. Staying busy doing something you like is a blessing in it's self.

Looking forward a review when you do a wide panel through the Wood Master.

I still wish you lived closer.....

Hi John,

Yes, us living closer would be nice for we could visit each other in person than here however we wouldn't get to share our experience with the others.

Yes!!!! A review of the Woodmaster! Excellent idea John. Ralph, what say you? Is there a possible review in the making for the Woodmaster in a couple weeks after you've had the chance to shake the cobwebs out?

Hi Fellows,

This is really odd for I and my friend and client were just talking about me being taped while I demonstrate how to break down the Wood Master into the four different things it can do. First it is an 18" planer, a sander after the sanding drum is installed, you can gang rip with the three saw blades that come with it and finally produce trim of various profiles. all of these DVDs will be possible to be had or we could just put them on you tube or amazon.

Then just maybe I could get Wood Master to sponsor RJW America ( Ralph Jones Woodworking America ) since Norm is no longer doing his show maybe we could get some one to promote my show.
