Pens and Pens

Featured Replies

I turned a few pens to add to the inventory for the show Friday night.

This one is Walnut and a 10K Slim line Pen Kit.

This one is Purple Heart and a Platinum Slimline Pen Kit

This is Boire Wood. Picked this piece up somewhere and had never turned it until yesterday.

Great work John. Love those pens. Have you sold those tactical pens at all you had on your website?

If I can get one more chair into a happy owners home, a lathe is my next toy. You guys are just having way too much fun. I love the instant gratification with the lathe.

All three styles are beautiful, I know you didn't ask us to rate them, but I love the purple heart. It just talks to me.

Thanks for showing

I sold the walnut black tactical but I have made a couple of more of that one.

You are right about the purpleheart. I really like it also. It just has a great look to it. I also like that pen kit since it is different from the gold you see so much of.

Thanks for the complements and feel free to rate them anytime.

I think you hit the nail on the head for the reason the purple heart stood out, is the nickle or satin hardware. It is really mellow and not flashy, and not being a flashy guy, I think that is what is nice about that style.

I used a skew chisel and then used the burning wires. I have a small skew that I turn up on the edge to cut the groove.

Man I wish I had a lathe and was capable of turning pens. All the more reason to build and sell some more Cherry chopping boards.

You and me both brother, I am getting lathe envy here.

You guys got to get one. It is the best thing I got well before I got this drum sander.
