October 15, 201015 yr Good Morning Friends,Finally I have located a location of used trailer parts, www.postrv.com who have parts from most every camper you can imagine and they say they have parts all the way back to the fifties. I am anxious to see what they have and they are in Columbus, Ohio just some 25 miles east of me. I will be working with them during the restoration of this camper and I will take before and after pictures to show the progress we will be taking. I am excited about this challenge for who knows it might just lead into bigger and better things. I used to customize Vans long before the factories started doing them and an average cusom job was around $2400.00 each. Material and labor and was it fun. Ralph
October 15, 201015 yr I am not sure why I am surprised when you tell of something else you have done. Man, you have done it all in the woodworking. Look forward to seeing this RV progress.
October 15, 201015 yr Hey Ralph. There's a place in Montpelier Indiana that has tons of new RV equipment. They have bought overages from the RV industry for years and they have buildings stacked full of the stuff. In fact, when I built my wood shop a few years back, I bought all new solid oak doors for about $3 each. Almost all of my wood screws comes from there at $1 a pound. The name of the place is Ickes Supply and they're not too far from you.

They say that money is the root of all eveil and I have been grubbing for that root for 62 years and still haven't found it.
