Well, the only one I found was the hinge mounted on the wrong side!24.gif.

I am laughing with you Richard, not at you, I have done the exact same thing with a set of book matched doors for some kitchen cabs I built a few years ago. Dooooh! You called it right, bonehead!

What I did to fix mine was I ran that entire side of the door through my router table, I took it down about 1/4 of an inch, glued up a new faux stile and no one knew the better.

Okay I was looking over those first three pictures and all I could say was Wow there can't be anything wrong these are so beautiful, he is just messing with us.

Then I scrolled down and saw the open door.

That is the kind of thing that makes my stomach turn up side down. The thing is, we have all been there, done that.

Well I have a great thought today. Since you messed up that door you probably don't want to hang all of those breautiful cabinets in your house, so you could just send them to Alabama and I could just put them up here. Grin.gif

The Blood Wood cabinets belong to my wife. I passed your request on to her. I can't repeat her answer but If I was you I would bring that idea up again.

Hey Richard,

The only thing I saw was the doors were resting on the bench top and when opened they would rub the table but, after mounting they would be flush to the cabinet bottom and would not matter in my book.

Hey Richard, how about an update on the Bloodwood cabinets. Maybe I missed it but have they been installed yet?

The bottom is 1 1/2 the top rail is 2 1/2 . The uppers cabinets go up against a soffit. The soffit has caned light with trim rings that hand lower than the surface of the soffit. The wider top rail leaves room for trim if needed and allows the doors to clear the lights when opening the doors.

Compared to the top rails, the bottom rails don't look as high as the top ones.. ??

Maybe Crown molding on the top is the reason?

No, you haven't missed anything. I've taken another break from the project and still have to make the drawers and fronts. there's no hurry because I have a complete remodel of the room they go in before I can install them. That's not going to happen until spring.

Well that makes me feel better, I might get the bathroom done before you finish the kitchen. LOL
