October 29, 201015 yr Okay, Rich you have been starting this, but I thought I would kick it off if you didn't mind.So here we are at another weekend. What is planned in your shop this weekend?I am trying to get several more cutting boards finished for the First Friday Craft Show next Friday night. Only two more until Christmas so I want to have a good inventory for these next two. Tomorrow will be cutting board day.
October 29, 201015 yr Unfortunately, I'll not be in the woodshop. Fortunately, I'll be on the campaign trail for a good conservative friend of mine running for state representative.
October 29, 201015 yr Author Sorry to hear you have been laid up Steve. I know why you have a migraine, it is all of the angles floating around. I not sure if I need the board right side up or up side down now. > Take the camera and post of a few pictures of the tilt gauge. steven newman said: For some unknown reasons, i'll be out there working with a tablesaw, LOL. Tilt gauge on mine is a PIS, so I'll take along my grandsaon's protractor. Last few days I've been laid up, sick as a dog( white? LOL) and even had a migraine at work last night. Vicadin is long gone, so is the "haze". 800 Motrin is now a candy. IF I have some spare pine around, maybe I'll start some end tables. We'll see.
October 29, 201015 yr Author Ron, Best of luck to them on the campaign. The time is drawing close and we need to turn this thing around. Ron Dudelston said:Unfortunately, I'll not be in the woodshop. October 29, 201015 yr I'll be reading all the Basic Geometry posts this weekend! It'll take me all weekend. Naw jest kiddin. That was fun. I am playing with some Live Oak lumber to see if it would make a nice chair. I got a few cutoffs today and I am going to finish them out to see what surprises happen. Then Sunday we have Trick or Treatin to do.
October 30, 201015 yr Steve, invest in a Wixley. It is wonderful and only $40.00 steven newman said:For some unknown reasons, i'll be out there working with a tablesaw, LOL. October 31, 201015 yr I'm still "horsing around" That is with my rocking horse. All the wood parts are done and finished. The details of the harness and saddle are yet to be designed and installed. My wife is away and she is a great quilter/crafter and I will wait and let her do the sewing of the vinyl to make most of it. I was going to take a picture and send........but CRS got in the way.

October 31, 201015 yr Well I have been at my real job all weekend. I even missed my 30 year class reunion. I started a overhaul of an oxygen compressor last Monday. It was supposed to finish on Thursday. I finally finished at 2130 on Saturday night. It's been a long week of 12 hour days. I hope to get a little shop time today.

November 1, 201015 yr Author Wow it sounds like some great projects going on in all of your shops. Gene, sounds like you got a good start on the shop updates. When you get a chance, post a few pictures so we can all see how it is coming. Richard and John, I know how you feel on those angles. I read most of that thread last Friday and I am not sure where to set anything now. I hope they figure it out and someone will just give me the cliff notes version. Ron, sounds as though the Rocking Horse is getting close to being released. When you get the chance give us an update. I love seeing those updates. Ralph, hope you got to the Woodcraft and picked up that Mandrel. Let us know if you got any pens turned. I must warn you, it is addictive, but I think there is help for the addiction here on the forum. Greg, man I understand about pulling those long hours. Hope you get a little rest and some good time in the shop, Hey you got those great new tools that are going to need some love and attention to get the proper welcome to your shops. Maybe this week will be better. Was a busy weekend for me as well. I got one of the chess boards finished, (will post a picture later) and one more that will be ready to take out of the clamps tonight. Got two more cutting boards made Saturday also. Trick or Treat was held here on Saturday night so we took our five year old granddaughter out trick or treating. She was a beautiful butterfly. She had a great time and it was fun for me just watching her. Most of the young children came by before it was dark which was good. Glad to see everyone getting some shop time in, when you can share your projects in the forums with us. Have a great week and remember that tomorrow is election day, exercise your right and vote!
November 1, 201015 yr hi John, No, I didn't get the chance to go to Woodcraft because I was busy selling projects. I am truly blessed for with the economy being what it is the good Lord has blessed me four fold of late. I must have done something right for a change. I picked up two counter tops to make as well as a mantle out of QSWO which will stain Mission Oak, two book cases that will run on each side of a fire place to the walls and 8' tall. So all in all I say we had a pretty good week end.Oh I almost forgot, I have to make another window for the mate of the last one I made.
