November 11, 201015 yr comment_52037 I am not much of a wine drinker but I decided to try some stoppers. I ordered a mandrel a while back and figured I should give it a spin. Man these things are so easy to turn. I gave a couple away before pictures and here are the rest.Tulip wood, Cocobolo, and IDK Report
November 11, 201015 yr comment_52039 Those are beautiful Greg, so, your putting that lathe to work already are ya!!! That didn't take long. You know you might not be much of a wine drinker, but they would make some great bottle stoppers for some fine Kentucky bourbon. Or, some plastic screw cap ripple bourbon, just shove one of those stoppers in the Kessler and now you got some expensive Kentucky mash! Report
November 12, 201015 yr comment_52038 Hey Greg when I get ask at the Craft shows what they are I tell them Wine Stoppers or Mt. Dew if you if don't drink. I like the IDK wood. It has nice grain to it. It almost looks like Biore (I think is correct spelling). I have a small piece of it at home, I'll check it out tonight. They are fun to turn and you can turn them so fast and let you imagination run with the design. Those look great, I like the Stainless Steel bottoms. I need to do a few cork ones. Report
